HOW TO POST A COMMENT ON A BLOG
One of my friends asked how to post a comment on a blog. I’m new to this stuff myself, but as well as I can figure, here’s the way:
Go the bottom of whatever blog entry you want to comment on.
Click Comments
This will take you to a ‘Post a Comment’ box
Type your comment into the box
You will be given a choice to comment either as
Anonymous, or
Name/URL
Then appears on the screen: “Your comment will be visible after approval”
Not sure how this works because I entered a comment and it came up
immediately.

- David P. Green, MD has been practicing and teaching orthopaedic and hand surgeon for more than 40 years. He is best known as the editor of two widely used orthopaedic and hand surgery textbooks: 1) Rockwood and Green’s Fractures (now in its 6th edition, recently translated into Chinese), and 2) Green’s Operative Hand Surgery (now in its 5th edition, translated into Japanese and Spanish editions.). Born in El Paso, Texas in 1936, he is a graduate of Pomona College, Baylor Medical School, and the New York Orthopaedic Hospital (NYOH) residency program. In 1997 he was named Outstanding Alumnus of the NYOH. He is a past President of the American Society for Surgery of the Hand. He also has a keen interest in history, and has published a book entitled Place Names of San Antonio, a compilation of some 600 mini-biographies of people for whom streets, schools, parks, libraries, businesses, and other places are named in his hometown.
I have spent some time pondering your comments David, and find myself in the seat beside you. I still work part time because I enjoy it, and I still have something to teach our your residents. I look around at others who are climbing the ladder that we climbed , and would like to yell "slow down" but I know that it would do no good. In retrospect I think I wasted a lot of time because of my type A engine, over which I took no control. Now I feel like the older and wiser old bull, " lets walk down there and get them all". My days are spent in more measured ways, in my workshop ,reading ,enjoying friends and family, and especially exploring my spirituality. I have lost the desire to rush from place to place,. which I once had. An interesting transition to be sure. I think the idea of retirement ,for me, is not a necessary or welcome part of my future plan, someone else will decide that.
